Science: Preserving Ecosystems

The class is learning about ecosystems and how we can preserve them. In this activity we showed the needs of communities to have shelter, but at the cost of our forests. The groups were given a situation where a family wants to move into a new neighborhood. Four trees had to be cut down before they could move into a house. They soon became aware that when they had reached three families moving into the neighborhood, there were no trees left on their checkers mat.
